For seaplane Operators, the Carey Lake and seaplane operators, the Carey Lake Seaplane Base (9MN0) provides access to specialized water operations near the main airport. This privately licensed facility expands aviation access for pilots who operate beyond traditional runway environments.

Use of the seaplane base requires prior permission and at least 24 hours' notice. The airport team can assist with transporting seaplanes between Carey Lake and the main airport for maintenance at TNT Airworks, transition from wheels-to-floats, or hangar their seaplane at HIB in the off-season. Fueling is not available at the lake.
